CHILD SUPPORT~
A divorce can end a marriage, but it does not end parental responsibilities. Most parents understand that, but they have questions about their legal obligations. We will fully explain your parental rights and obligations including the child support obligations.
· How much will child support be? In Missouri, child support is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to each parties’ income, other financial resources, number of other children in custody excluding children of the marriage, overnight visitation credit and credit for insurance and other extraordinary expenses. This is referred to as a Form 14 – you can calculate a rough estimate of the child support by clicking

· Can child support be modified? Absolutely. We handle post-judgment modifications. If there is a substantial change in circumstances the support may be lowered or raised.
· Can I get a temporary child support Order? As soon as the divorce paperwork is filed we can file a Motion pendente lite which can provide temporary support while your case is pending.
· What are non-custodial parent rights? In addition to child support obligations, a non-custodial parent has the right to parenting time. If you have questions about your rights we can discuss these at length.
· What if there is a question of paternity? Whether you are a father who wishes to establish your paternity of a child so you can provide support and parent the child, or if you are a mother wanting to establish paternity, we can help you.
