How Do I Receive Weekly Checks?

If you are considered totally disabled, on either a temporary or permanent basis by an authorized workers’ comp doctor, you may be entitled to receive weekly checks, also called Temporary Total Disability (TTD). These checks are typically based on two-thirds of your gross wages from the last 13 weeks. However, there are caps to the checks, so if you are a high earner, you may actually receive checks that are less than this amount. You will only receive checks until a workers’ comp doctor releases you back to full duty work.
