“No employer or agent shall discharge or in any way discriminate against any employee for exercising any of his rights under this chapter. Any employee who has been discharged or discriminated against shall have a civil action for damages against his employer.” Chapter 287.780 RSMo.
In 2014, the Missouri Supreme Court helped injured workers when it handed down the decision in Templemire v. W & M Welding. This decision makes it much easier for an employer to be sued if they violate your workers' compensation rights.
